Accredited Training and Development

SecureCare are an Accredited Training Provider and Centre (in partnership with our sister company Positive+Proactive).

You can be assured that our people, and yours, will receive the very best training to deliver the very best service within your health and/or social setting. Our training encompasses the delivery of Enhanced Security support for healthcare trusts.

We SecureCare Enhanced Security Officers complete our extensive training provisions before entering any client setting. Furthermore, the quality of our training means that our clients also entrust us to train their health and social care staff too.

Our sister company offers a wide range of additional training and interventions courses from Health and Safety to Mental Health Awareness training and  Person Centred Care. All training is delivered either on site, or in our accredited Midlands training centre.

Positive and ProActive Training

We deliver training both in-house, empowering our teams / people and externally to a wide range of clients in a wide range of settings from health and social care to leisure.

This training is delivered through our ‘sister’ company, Positive ProActive. Positive ProActive training is delivered at our Midlands Training Centre, on location with clients and also through our digital training platform available direct and online.

Foundation Training

Our foundation training completed by all personnel:

  • Vetting Security Screening
  • Enhanced DBS (Annual)
  • 1-day course Emergency First aid at work (Annual)
  • 3-day course Conflict Resolution, Physical Intervention & Disengagement techniques (Annual)
  • 1-day Mental Health & Dementia Awareness (Annual)
  • Company Induction
  • 3-day Shadow Shifts (at no cost to the client)

For Clinical Settings

To help our staff fully understand and manage violence and aggression, whilst at the same time providing care and assisting clinical staff.

  • 4-day Security Officer Training Disengagement/Safe Holding Skills
  • 1-day Mental Health
  • to provide better care for all service users and to help support nursing staff SecureCare staff complete certified training by a CQC registered care company
  • Personal-Centred Care Procedures
  • Food Hygiene Procedures
  • Infection Control Procedures Including Covid-19 awareness
  • Moving & Handling Practical & Theory
  • Person-Centred Care Theory

Enhanced Training

To provide better care for all service users and to help support nursing staff SecureCare staff complete certified training (by a CQC registered company).

  • Personal-Centred Care Procedures
  • Food Hygiene Procedures
  • Infection Control Procedures Including Covid-19 awareness
  • Moving & Handling Practical & Theory
  • Person-Centred Care Theory
  • All training will be certified
